LETTER FROM PASTOR JOSH
It is with great joy and excitement that we enter this school year! We are full of gratitude for all that God has done in and through our school family; the Lighthouse Church Schools are growing in every way! It has been amazing to observe how God has brought growth as our school family-teachers, staff, students, parents, church, and community-have worked together in each of our unique ways. I am reminded of Paul’s words in 2 Thessalonians 1:3-4 “We always give thanks to God for you, because your faith is growing abundantly and the love of every one of you for one another is increasing. Therefore we boast about you!” It is an incredible privilege and blessing to be a part of this amazing school family!
In praying for our school family, I believe we are experiencing a fulfillment of God’s Word from Ephesians 4:15-16, which reads, “Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ, from whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love.” Our church and school family has grown and continues to grow because we are working together, “building in love.” In John 14:6, Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life”; as we pursue God’s growth in our lives in every way, as individuals and as a community, we will continue to see Christ building us up in His love to become more like Him. He will hold us together, equip every part, and help us work properly.
As we enter this new season of God’s growth, be encouraged that we are a part of a work of God - God is doing a great work in you, in us!
Thank you everyone, once again, in advance, for all that you do, all your sacrifices, all your partnership, all your love; it is because of your love for God, for our students, for our community that we get to be participants in God’s great plan!
